About Thunder Road Classic American Car Hire

For many years, my passion has been Classic Cars of all types, but especially American Muscle cars with the unmistakeable sound of their awesome V8 engines.  

Having fulfilled a dream and purchased four of my favourite classics - 2 iconic Ford Mustang Convertibles, their rival the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible and the awesome 1971 Corvette Stingray Convertible I am now able to offer these four fantastic vehicles for self drive hire.

There is no feeling like the freedom of the open highway.  With the top up or down the exhilaration is unbelievable.   Pure motoring pleasure is the only way to describe it. If your passion is the same as mine, then you'll understand exactly.  

We are perfectly located in Gillingham, Dorset - the gateway to the South and South West, just 5 minutes from the main A303 on the borders of Wiltshire and Somerset and less than 2 hours from London.  Why not drop your car off here, securely parked and free of charge, or come by train (we'll pick you up free from Gillingham mainline station as well). Drive around Britain's beautiful secluded golden beaches of the Jurassic Coastline and along the quiet country lanes of Hardy's Dorset -  you can't get much better than this!
